Chris had a doctor's appointment today. They removed his stitches and put on bandages that help keep the incision together. The doctor said he looks good and could tell he is moving around (walking) a lot which helps recovery.
We got the pathology report. Basically, this is what we know:
The tumor was cancer.
It was Stage 2 (out of 4).
Chris will go back in 6 months for CT scan.
So, he will take it easy for five more weeks to recover. Our lives will go back to normal trying to live each day to the fullest. We are putting our trust in God that He has Chris in His hands and will keep the cancer from coming back. Chris and I talked about the fact that we can't live in fear these next few months. I'm not saying that will be easy, but that is what God calls us to do.
The kids are handling this great and they are counting the days until Chris is back on our basketball court with them.
They were glad to hear the news that all the cancer is gone. They made their dad the signs below when he came home from the hospital. It brightened his day. :)
Thank you all for the prayers and support. The meals have been so delicious and helpful as well! We feel so loved and blessed by all of you!
